ScriptLogic's Enterprise Security Reporter for SharePoint Automates Documentation of File Security for Microsoft Windows and Office SharePoint Server 2007

(Market Wire Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) BOCA RATON, FL, December 6 / MARKET WIRE/ --

ScriptLogic Corporation
(www.scriptlogic.com), a leading provider of systems lifecycle management
solutions for Microsoft Windows-based networks and a wholly owned
subsidiary of Quest Software, Inc., today announced the release of Enterprise Security
Reporter (TM) for SharePoint, a product which automates the
documentation of Windows and SharePoint security for compliance and
security reviews, protecting data and meeting regulatory requirements.
Enterprise Security Reporter is an agent-less, fast, comprehensive
discovery and reporting solution providing the administrator with tools to
compare, analyze, query and report on the security and configuration of the
network. The latest version includes numerous ready-made and customizable
reports with output in eight popular file formats.

With Microsoft
SharePoint Server 2007 as a viable alternative to direct connections to
file servers, Enterprise Security Reporter for SharePoint now allows IT
administrators to monitor the security of all SharePoint sites and servers.
The product's discovery engine can now collect information on document
ownership, document changes, document access permissions and site
permissions. The discovery engine can also be configured to include or
exclude specific sites or sub-sites on a given server, so only the
necessary information is collected.

"IT administrators increasingly call for a comprehensive reporting tool to
overcome all of their security and
compliance challenges, and Enterprise Security Reporter is
ScriptLogic's answer to their needs," said Nick Cavalancia, vice president
of marketing at ScriptLogic. "Enterprise Security Reporter does exactly
what its name would imply; the product provides easy-to-understand reports
that analyze security settings and user permissions on Windows, and now
SharePoint, sites and servers. IT administrators can see quickly where
their vulnerabilities are and how they occur."

Enterprise Security Reporter for SharePoint joins ScriptLogic's growing
arsenal of tools addressing IT administrators' SharePoint security needs.
In June, ScriptLogic announced Security Explorer for SharePoint, a product
that improves the security management related to end user access to
SharePoint.

In addition to SharePoint support, the Enterprise Security Reporter
platform has been enhanced to further address the security and regulatory
needs of enterprises:

-- Security
Management across the Entire Organization: The latest version gives
administrators the ability to set up discovery engines in remote locations
and easily manage them all from one console.

-- Over 20 New Reports: Over 20 new, pre-defined reports focused on
SharePoint security have been added.

-- Ad-Hoc Query Builder: IT administrators can now generate customized
reports, which may not be included in the pre-defined reports.

-- Easier Management of Discoveries: The latest version introduces a new
feature called the "Manage Discoveries" tab, which increases ease of use.
