Symmetricom QoE Assurance Division's Principal Technologist Featured Speaker at VON Japan 2007

He has also held assistant professor positions at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, and has worked for Hewlett-Packard, Siemens, German Aerospace and Andersen Consulting. Dr. Winkler has published more than 40 papers on perceptual quality measurement and is the author of the book, "Digital Video Quality." He has also been a member and contributor of the Video Quality Experts Group (VQEG) since its founding in 1997. Dr. Winkler holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Technology in Vienna, Austria and a doctorate from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland.
