Firefly Mobile Chooses PassAlong Networks to Power Age Appropriate MP3 Store

CHICAGO, Nov. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Firefly Mobile, the first pay-as-you-go service provider to design mobile phones especially for kids and tweens, today announced that StoreBlocks(TM), the music distribution platform offered by music distribution developer PassAlong Networks, will power the first mobile music site with an age-appropriate catalog specifically targeted to tweens -- Firefly's online music store, "flyStore."

Using Firefly Mobile's newest phone, the flyPhone(TM), created especially for tweens, the music store features age appropriate material designed for the 8 to 12-year-old crowd and makes the tracks available through flyStore for downloading onto the flyPhone(TM), which launched in October. The Firefly Mobile MP3 store will offer more than 2.1 million MP3s and give buyers the most flexibility and interoperability available.



With StoreBlocks (TM) powering the Firefly music store, tweens will have a simple and flexible tool to purchase music for their flyPhone(TM). The flyPhone(TM) was designed specifically to provide a great music experience. The Firefly and PassAlong partnership will provide an interconnected service between PC and mobile phone that makes it easy to connect the flyPhone(TM) with music.
