eIQnetworks Bolsters SecureVue Solution

(Wireless News Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)
eIQnetworks, a provider of integrated security, risk and audit
management solutions, announced the availability of the next evolution
of its flagship SecureVue solution.

SecureVue 3.0 adds governance, risk and compliance (GRC) audit
management, network behavior anomaly detection (NBAD) and 3-D
visualization to its existing next-generation security information
management (SIM) solution, providing enterprises with an integrated
security, risk and audit platform to radically simplify IT assurance.

"As IT and business operations teams become more skilled at
identifying, analyzing and remediating security issues, they will take
on more and more security responsibilities," wrote Paul Stamp,
principal analyst at Forrester in his recent report, Security
Information Management Market Forecast, To 2011. "Thus, it will become
commonplace for information security teams to be more interested in
setting and overseeing policy than with the specifics of its
implementation. SIM will be the primary tool for enabling operations
teams and security teams to collaborate on: turning business policy
into specific configurations and requirements; assessing the risk of
ongoing security issues; and coordinating the response to security
incidents."

Historically, enterprises have managed audit and security functions
with multiple point products. The latest version of SecureVue provides
an advanced framework that combines GRC audit management with
next-generation SIM to help organizations strategically address
evolving security and compliance challenges and improve operational
efficiencies.

"Meeting regulatory mandates and conforming to industry best practices
prove challenging for all organizations subject to security and
compliance audits," said Ernest Quaglieri, chief information security
officer at The State of Rhode Island. "Disparate point solutions create
inefficiencies between network, security and operations teams. An
integrated platform like SecureVue enables The State of Rhode Island to
foster inter-departmental collaboration."
