Revver Names Damian Amitin as Director of Sales for Eastern Region
LOS ANGELES --(Business Wire)-- Revver, Inc. (www.revver.com), the first video sharing service powered by advertising, today announced it has hired Damian Amitin as director of sales, eastern region. Amitin will head the company's east coast advertising sales operations and lead the development of new, customized sponsorship packages, cultivating new opportunities for advertising partners and driving further revenue for the site. He will be based in New York City and will report to Marc Hernandez, vice president of advertising sales for Revver.
Amitin joins Revver from Weather.com, the online destination for the 24-hour weather network, where he served as account manager and worked closely with agencies such as Mediavest and Digitas. He played an integral role in the success of multi-platform advertising campaigns including display, video, mobile, sponsorship, and custom content formats for brands such as Proctor & Gamble and American Express.
"Damian's strong experience selling online media solutions to agencies and advertisers across the east coast will contribute significantly to Revver's development efforts," said Kevin Wells, CEO of Revver.
Prior to Weather.com, Amitin was regional sales manager for About.com where he led the company's display and customized sponsorship packages and new business development in the Northeast region. By working closely with leading media agencies including Mindshare, Neo@ogilvy, and MediaEdge, Amitin's launched effective branding and customer acquisition solutions for clients including Colgate, Verizon Wireless and Ameriprise Financial. Previously, Amitin held the position of major account executive at Yahoo! HotJobs, covering the financial vertical for key clients including UBS, Metlife and JPMorgan Chase.
Amitin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Rutgers University.
