Interop Technologies and Neurotic Media Ink Pact(Wireless News Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) Interop Technologies, a provider of advanced wireless technology solutions, announced a technology agreement with Neurotic Media, a supplier of marketing and distribution services for digital media. Under the agreement, business-to-business digital distribution services from Neurotic Media will be incorporated in the new Interop Technologies Digital Entertainment Solution for wireless network operators. The end-to-end Digital Entertainment Solution includes all the content, billing, and technology capabilities required for wireless operators to deliver full-track music, albums, and videos, as well as more conventional digital content such as ringtones, wallpapers, images, and games to wireless customers. The service rolls out with music and video downloads for computers, as well as with over-the-air (OTA) truetones and images. OTA full-track music downloads are planned for later in 2007. For this solution, Neurotic Media will provide branded, secure storefronts that are identical to operators' Web sites or WAP decks. Using these storefronts, customers can shop for, select, and download a wide variety of content from both major and indie labels directly to their handsets or personal computers. "We are pleased to work with Interop Technologies to create a Digital Entertainment Solution enabling operators of all sizes to benefit from the upsurge in content and data revenues," said Shachar Oren, CEO, Neurotic Media. "In addition, operators using the solution can retain total control over how they commercialize online and mobile content." "Our new Digital Entertainment Solution exemplifies the continuing commitment we have to wireless operators to help them differentiate their service offerings and monetize content," said John Bickford, Vice President, Carrier and Consumer Content for Interop Technologies. "The Neurotic Media technology and the full-track music offerings are really key, customer-facing components of this leading-edge solution." During the CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment tradeshow Oct. 23-25, Interop Technologies exhibited at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
