V.I. Laboratories CodeArmor -- Software Crackers Won't Prevail

(Computer Reseller News Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) Today, developers not only have to write complex software but also have to overcome malware insertions, code cracking and piracy threats to their code. Most compiler technologies only provide obfuscation techniques that offer minimal protection. There seems to be no end in sight to the theft as more cracking sites appear every month around the world. Software crackers are even targeting software dongles and bypassing encryption. To beat most thieves, look no further than CodeArmor's unique solution that combines encryption, antidebugging and runtime execution monitoring. Priced starting at $18,500, CodeArmor works on native Windows applications and .Net managed code. CodeArmor's Post Processor tool identifies sensitive functions inside applications and inserts monitoring code, including license restrictions. Post Processor then encrypts the code with RC-4 AES. For .Net, CodeArmor prevents hackers from accessing the CLR to read managed code.
