AdventNet, a provider of EMS/NMS framework software, announced the
immediate availability of an enhanced free edition of Web NMS, an
industry leading network management framework, with support for Oracle
DB and Java client.

Equipment vendors can now OEM the framework and roll out element or
network management systems (EMS / NMS) with Oracle backend at
break-neck speed. The free edition is a fully functional multi-tier
enterprise grade framework including complete FCPS functions, Java
based thick client, Web client, well documented APIs, and developer
tools for rapid development of element and network management systems
(EMS/ NMS) with fewer development resources. Customers can also opt for
paid technical support to expedite development and avail fixes and
patches.

"We needed an open-standards-based platform that would enable us to
quickly develop a network management application. Rich set of functions
and high degree of customization possibilities, in combination with a
thought through and consistent system design in Web NMS enabled our
development team to focus on our unique requirements, and to use the
provided platform as the framework," said Jan Burgos, Technology
Manager, Node & Network Management, Net Insight.. More than 500
equipment vendors and service providers have rolled out management
solutions based on the AdventNet Web NMS framework. Deployments span
across multiple domains such as VoIP, Wireless, Video, Telecom, Optical
Networking, and Storage."

Enhanced Free Edition helps customers reduce their upfront development
cost. With the free edition & optional support services, we reinforce
our commitment to provide the best value in the industry, for customers
who need to develop custom element & network management applications,"
says Prabhu, Product Manager, Web NMS at AdventNet. "Free edition has
been a great success among startups over the last two years. The
in-house development teams of our customers love the framework as they
need not reinvent the wheel and build everything from scratch," he
added.
