East China Engineering Signed EPC Contract(SinoCast China Business Daily News Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) HEFEI, October 09, SinoCast -- East China Engineering Science and Technology Co., Ltd. (ECEC, SZSE: 002140) announced on September 29 that it has signed two large contracts. One is the CNY 1.422 billion EPC General Contract of the first-phase Liupanshui Laoyingshan Coal-Based Gasification Substitute Fuel Project, which consists of 300,000-ton methanol facilities and 150,000-ton dimethyl ether. Its partner is Guizhou Xinsheng Coal Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., an affiliate of Guizhou Shuicheng Coal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd. responsible for the construction of the Liupanshui Laoyingshan Coal-electricity Integrated Base. Upon completion at early-2009, the first phase of the base will mainly develop coal exploitation and processing, the substitute fuel for coal-based methanol and dimethyl ether, and combined heat and power generation (CHP), with annual output value of CNY 650 million. Another contract is about the design and supply of nitric-acid vessels and boilers of waste heat from power generation by combustible gas for Pakistani Fatima Fertilizer Company Ltd. worth USD 11.73 million, which was jointly signed by ECEC and its actual controller, China National Chemical Engineering Corporation.
