Kids kingdom 'Baroue' opens today

Those are some words which best describes the new 'Baroue' kids kingdom. Baroue' kids kingdom is a place where kids' needs, lifestyle and dreams come true. The $ 30 million children's department store is set to open today, at the Avenues Mall-located at an extensive area of 6,500 square meters.
Baroue's center of attraction is a giant Sea Serpent playground, a unique place said to have never seen before in the region. The Sea Serpent playground is the size of about four London busses which features straight and spiral slides, a stringless magical harp, a sand pit, a jungle gym and magical rooms. The playground can accommodate around 250 children at a time in addition to cyber stations, an educational center, a party room, a salon for kids, a photo studio and coffee and juice bar areas. Baroue will also house over 20,000 different products from clothing to accessories to toys and stationeries catered to children aged from one to 14 including pregnant women. "This will be known as the largest specialized children's department store to offer a unique shopping experience. Through our international research partner Roland Berger and strategic design consultant Gensler, we realized that children want a dynamic and interactive place to shop, play, learn and meet friends. Parents too prefer an environment that is safe for their kids, practical, convenient and reassuring," stated Fahad Al-Mutawa, owner of MS Retail and CEO of Baroue, who exclusively toured members of media on Tuesday evening, ahead of its grand opening today.
According to Al-Mutawa, Baroue's ability to bring kids fantasies to reality is just one unique factor of why he believes Baroue will surely appeal to the children in Kuwait. "85 percent of our products here are exclusive, unique and especially made for Baroue. The remaining percent are famous brands known to kids all over the world. Great emphasis has been given to quality," added Al-Mutawa. Architectural designs have been tailored to meet children's conveniences from the design of playgrounds to the changing rooms, elevators, cash counters, display signs and activity rooms. The place will be known not just for an entertaining place for children, it will also be recognized as a place with a heart and tender loving care. "We hired and recruited highly skilled people who underwent intensive training programs in Manila under our management-the Retail Training Institute. They are all trained to attend visitor's and children's need and look after their safety and security," added Al-Mutawa.
Furthermore, the Baroue playground is monitored by a Radio Frequency Identification System designed to track down locations and movements of a person's child. "So it will be an added convenience for busy shopping parents," he opined. Baroue is a 100 percent Kuwaiti company and is set to open their next project in Saudi Arabia by next year. Baroue will also start more projects in neighboring countries in the Middle East in the future. "The name Baroue was derived from an old Kuwaiti word meaning 'innocent and play," concluded Al-Mutawa.
