''Internet People'' Cartoon Captures Eyes and Ears of the Web with More Than 3 Million Views

NEW YORK --(Business Wire)-- In just over a week, "Internet People" has swept the Internet as one of the most-viewed, biggest original series debuts on the web, with more than 3 million views and over 10,000 comments.

"Internet People" is the first episode of The Meth Minute 39, a new series produced for the online animation network Channel Frederator by New York based cartoonist Dan Meth. Set to music by Meth and Micah Frank, "Internet People" captures and celebrates the most outrageous and memorable Internet experiences and pop-culture moments the world has shared over the past five years. Within days, VH1 featured "Internet People" on its Best Week Ever web site, and other media outlets such as TechCrunch, G4, The UK's Guardian, and the New York Post have picked up and reported on the episode.

"Dan Meth has been quietly and steadily building his creative reputation hit by hit exclusively online. I'm proud to have Dan's first original series associated with Channel Frederator and Next New Networks," said Fred Seibert, Executive Producer of Channel Frederator and The Meth Minute 39 and a founder of Next New Networks.

"'Internet People' is a great example of how the Internet can produce hits with TV-like audiences that pop the culture and spread like wildfire, and a validation of our super-distribution strategy through key partnerships like iTunes, YouTube and MySpace," said Herb Scannell, CEO of Next New Networks. "Once 'Internet People' was released onto these key sites, the appeal, humor and quality of the show did the rest to spread across the Internet and capture the eyes of millions."

Included in "Internet People" are references to pop-culture Internet moments such as:

-- Jib Jab's This Land

-- lonelygirl15

-- One Night in Paris

-- Kramer's meltdown

-- Ask a Ninja

-- Chad Vader

-- Numa Numa

-- Sponge Monkeys

-- George Lucas in Love

-- Kramer's Meltdown

-- Diet Coke & Mentos

-- and 55 other viral videos

"Internet People" and The Meth Minute 39 series are part of Channel Frederator, "Cartoon Central on the Internet," and one of fifteen networks created by Next New Networks to date. Every week beginning in October, The Meth Minute 39 series will deliver original animated episodes, some character-based and some music-based, all drawn from the comic mind of Dan Meth.

"Internet People" can be seen on YouTube, MySpace, Veoh and Break.com, among other partners. The entire The Meth Minute 39 series can be viewed at: http://www.channelfrederator.com or http://www.methminute39.com
