Devon IT Adds Key Industry Executives to Spearhead Business Development, Strategic Alliance Plans


KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. --(Business Wire)-- Devon IT, the fastest growing provider of thin client terminals and innovators of the SafeBook(TM) thin client notebook, today announced the hiring of Bill Horrocks as Chief Operating Officer, Wayne Flaggs as Executive Vice President of Business Development, and Robert Chrisfield as Vice President of Strategic Alliances. This is the second group of key personnel additions this month.



Mr. Horrocks, a former Comcast Corporation executive, will spearhead the development, design, and operation of Devon IT products and services. He has held positions in product management, telecommunications, IT planning, and business development. While at Comcast he launched one of the industry's first integrated voice, video, and data networks. Prior to joining Devon IT he also co-founded Home Central, an Internet -based monitoring and automation platform for homes and small businesses.

Mr. Flaggs will be responsible for developing and maintaining key business relationships, as well as researching and analyzing new products. He has 33 years of sales and marketing experience with IBM and was previously the Vice President of Worldwide Sales for its System x and blades businesses. He has also been responsible for managing IBM's workstation business, the sales operations organization in the PC group, and the American sales team for UNIX servers.


Mr. Chrisfield brings extensive experience in business development and management and will develop the company's strategic corporate initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and alliances. He spent 28 years with IBM in executive and technical management positions, most recently as Director of Technical Alliances for IBM's System and Technology Group (STG) where he initiated and managed the unit's strategic alliances and M&A activities. As Director of OEM he launched STG's OEM business, overseeing its rapid growth to $225M in revenue.
