Interwise Positioned in the Visionaries Quadrant of Unified Communications Magic Quadrant 2007

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. --(Business Wire)-- Interwise(R), the global leader in unlimited voice, web and video conferencing for the enterprise, today announced that it has been positioned in the "Visionaries" quadrant in Gartner's August 2007 Magic Quadrant for Unified Communications, 2007, authored by Bern Elliot. For completeness of vision, the report states "Gartner analysts evaluate (unified communications) product providers on their ability to convincingly articulate logical statements about current and future market directions, innovations, customer needs and competitive forces, and how well these map to Gartner's overall understanding of the marketplace." The report also says that in 2008, UC will enter an early mainstream adoption phase globally.

Converged conferencing, instant messaging (IM) and Voice over IP are among the new generation of technologies comprising unified communications. Interwise offers a fully-converged voice, web and video conferencing product that can scale to the needs of large enterprises. Expanded UC functions linking Interwise Connect, the company's flagship conferencing product, with presence, IM and VoIP phone calls are in development.

"Live, IP-based voice, web and video conferencing is a simple, high-value way to get started with unified communications," said Frank Zvi, president and CEO of Interwise. "It brings visible, immediate business value to end users by increasing their connectivity with remote colleagues and their ability to complete projects faster, while also reducing costs. Our upcoming capability to seamlessly link voice conferences and web meetings with presence, IM and VoIP phone calls, both our own or from other vendors, will add even more business value for customers." Interwise's unique ability to provide hosted, on-site or blended deployments allows customers to get immediate value from their unified communications, without having to engage in complex infrastructure overhauls.

In another Gartner research note, "A Framework for Unified Communications" published in January 2007, authors Bern Elliot and Christopher Lock list converged conferencing as having high importance to unified communications planning.

Interwise Connect provides voice, Web and video conferencing within a single application for unlimited audio conferences, Web meetings, virtual classes, Webcasts, broadcasts and on-demand recordings. Deployed as a core business application to all employees, it improves the frequency, speed and quality of both internal and external business activities. Interwise Connect integrates with existing enterprise IT and PBX systems, email/calendaring, IM and soft phone applications. It allows customers to achieve the cost benefits of VoIP conferencing securely, without having to engage in PBX and phone overhauls. Interwise Connect is a leading choice of Global 2,000 companies, with more worldwide deployments of 5,000-plus seats than any other enterprise conferencing solution on the market.
