British industry journal Manufacturing Computer Solutions has reported that specialist work-wear supplier FlamePro "expects to improve its CRM (customer relationship management), inventory control and sourcing operations when it goes live with an ERP2 XeBusiness."

FlamePro designs and manufactures fire fighting garments, as well as high visibility and breathable waterproof clothing and uniforms, the journal explains, adding that it "needed a system able to support fast growth and ensure accurate fulfillment."

Says FlamePro director Gillian Johnson: "The FlamePro team have evaluated the XeBusiness system for a considerable period and as soon as we were able, decided to commit to its implementation. We are confident it will make a strategic contribution to supporting the rapid growth in sales we are achieving," according to the journal.

Earlier this year Irish supplier of corporate and high visibility work wear, Brandvis, chose the XeBusiness system Xe-ERP2 to underpin its CRM (Customer Relations Management) distribution, planning, sourcing and manufacturing operations in Ireland and China.

The XeBusiness system Xe-ERP2 is expected to provide the process streamlining, accuracy and quick response essential to enable effective execution of this business model using the Internet with links to the Brandvis Web site for close collaboration and communication with their customers.

Previously the Scottish specialist clothing and workwear supplier Lynben had contracted for a replacement business management and management information system from industry specialist IT vendor XeBusiness.

The vendor supplied their flagship package Xe-ERP to handle Lynben's CRM, Finished Inventory, CMT and MRP requirements. The Xe-ERP wearer pack module "will also be deployed to allow Lynben to manage and ship garment requirements down to individual employee level as a value added service to both end users and other corporate wear suppliers," company officials said at the time.
