Movida Leverages Telespree Technology To Automate Handset Activation


SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Telespree Communications, the leading developer of self-service solutions for wireless carriers and Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs), today announced that Movida Communications Inc. is leveraging Telespree's advanced platform to automate and streamline its handset activation and customer care operations. Telespree's Over-the-Air (OTA) solution replaces the manual process of activating a wireless handset with a completely automated solution. With Telespree's technology, a Movida subscriber simply keys in their zip code, the Telespree application connects to Movida's backend systems and the phone presents the end-user with the available phone number and provisions the device.

In the near future, Movida customers will be able to use Telespree applications to sign up for service, view and select other rate plans and features, and activate their Spanish/English voice message box. The solution will also allow users to check minute and cash balances via their mobile device, and make payments to their account using various methods. Telespree's powerful applications features free up customer care representatives for revenue generating activities while also improving the end-user experience.

Although Movida is primarily known as the leading MVNO for Hispanics in the U.S., the company's sales to English-speakers are growing rapidly as well. Telespree's self-service solution provides flexibility as applications will be delivered in English or Spanish, depending on the user's preference.
