SeaLife ECOshot(R) World's First Truly Waterproof, Shockproof Digital Sports Camera Debuts at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market Show

SALT LAKE CITY --(Business Wire)-- SeaLife Cameras will be debuting the most rugged sports camera on the market, the ECOshot - the world's first truly waterproof, shockproof digital camera - at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market show (booth #50023), highlighted by its appearance at Outdoor Retailer Open Air Outdoor Demo Days.

The ECOshot is specifically designed for those who love any type of outdoor diversions from the serene to the extreme. This 6-megapixel camera utilizes the latest technology for capturing fast action under varying elements with virtually no shutter lag and a fast recycle time. Guaranteed waterproof to a depth of 75 feet/23 meters and shockproof to 6ft/2m, the ECOshot is compact and light enough to fit in your shirt pocket. Its durable, fully rubberized exterior for sure-grip handling allows users to take impressive photographs under tough outdoor condition.

As demonstrated on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqVHUx41Yzw), the ECOshot will be 'road tested' - running the camera over with an SUV - live during the open-air sessions (Tuesday, August 7 and Wednesday, August 8) to demonstrate the camera's durability and strength under pressure. Show attendees at this time will also have the opportunity to test the ECOshot and view photographs taken by the ECOshot in multiple settings and situations.

"When designing this new product line, we wanted the durability factor of the cameras to really stand out," said Bjorn Harms, Vice President of SeaLife Cameras. "Having the opportunity to show the camera in a situation as tough as being run over by a car illustrates firsthand that the camera can withstand a great deal of wear."

The new SPY mode setting allows the camera to take continuous pictures at set time intervals so you capture the perfect shot of hard to photograph subjects. Other features also include the Land&Sea exposure program, a self-timer video mode, allowing users to capture high-resolution Motion JPEG digital video with audio.

"The ECOshot takes the meaning of rugged and waterproof to the extreme. Its the ideal camera for places you would not dare take your stylish land camera," said Joe Ifi, SeaLife's director of sales and marketing. "With its new Spy and Land&Sea modes, the ECOshot is the perfect camera to have on your outdoor adventures."

SeaLife Cameras, recognized by TIME Magazine for one of "The Most Amazing Inventions Of 2005" for its DC500 digital camera, is a leading manufacturer in digital dive cameras, with over 25 years of experience designing durable waterproof cameras to the specific needs of outdoor and watersports enthusiasts.
