CRG West Announces New York City Data Center Expansion

LOS ANGELES --(Business Wire)-- CRG West, one of the largest managers of network-neutral data centers in the United States, will soon open its first New York City colocation facility at 32 Avenue of the Americas, one of Manhattan's premier high-tech office buildings. The Los Angeles-based company has signed a long-term lease for approximately 50,000 square feet of space comprising the entire 7th floor of the building. By early 2008 CRG West expects to deliver an impressive 150 Watts per square foot to its colocation customers.

"New York City is one of the premier interconnection points in the world and we are pleased to bring power and peering directly to Manhattan," said David Dunn, senior vice president of CRG West. "We look forward to combining our high-powered space with the existing interconnection opportunities currently present within the meet-me room owned and operated by the Rudin Family and known as the Hub at 32 Avenue of the Americas."

Rob Rockwood, CRG West's chief investment office, added that, "This site expansion is a great complement to our existing portfolio of data centers located in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, San Jose, and Washington, D.C."

CRG West provides data center space and peering opportunities to over 350 of the world's leading networks, communications providers and universities. Now with nine data centers in seven major metropolitan areas, CRG West provides colocation space, connectivity services, remote hands support and the fast growing Internet exchange, the Any2 Exchange, to its growing client base.

"We're delighted to welcome one of the pioneering forces in today's internet/data center field to 32 Avenue of the Americas, which is widely acknowledged as one of the most advanced hi-tech business centers in the New York marketplace," said William C. Rudin, president of Rudin Management Company, the operating arm of Rudin family holdings, which owns the building. "This important leasing transaction represents yet another example of the ongoing business growth and diversification of Lower Manhattan," continued Rudin.

The ultra high-tech office tower at 32 Avenue of the Americas contains 1.2 million square feet of space largely tenanted by technology-driven companies. The building boasts a state-of-the-art infrastructure that includes access to primary and emergency power sources, redundant HVAC systems, fuel storage capacity, access to over 50 networks and floor loads designed to support the needs of today's media and communications companies and access to broadband wireless networks and infrastructure.
