ASPEN NETWORKS AND BROADSOFT SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE INTEROPERABILITY TESTING FOR ASPENS 365-VOIP SIP APPLICATION LAYER GATEWAY

SANTA CLARA, CA (News - Alert) AND GAITHERSBURG, MD, July 17, 2007 Interoperability testing and validation has been successfully completed between Aspen Networks 365- VOIPTM multi-link WAN switch and SIP ALG and BroadSoft (News - Alert)s BroadWorks® VoIP application platform. Aspen Networks is now part of the BroadSoft Access Partner program.

Aspen Networks is a leading manufacturer of converged network appliances, including the Aspen 365-VOIP multi-link WAN switch. The 365-VOIP enables hosted providers and small- to-medium enterprises to insulate their VoIP services from WAN outages or severe degradations by using multiple ISP links, and includes lower-cost broadband options such as DSL, cable and wireless. Aspens advanced switching software features fault detection, auto- failover, load sharing and VoIP prioritization, ensuring maximum uptime and quality of service.

BroadSoft is a leading provider of VoIP application software. Its award-winning BroadWorks platform is used by service providers across the globe to deliver VoIP services to large enterprises and small and medium businesses. Interoperability with BroadSofts BroadWorks VoIP application platform makes the Aspen 365-VOIP fully interoperable with IP telephony services from leading carriers around the world.

Were delighted to add Aspen Networks as a BroadSoft Access Partner, said Michael Tessler, president and CEO of BroadSoft. Our service providers are looking to offer their customers VoIP solutions that are both high-performance and cost-effective, as well as reliable and easy to manage. The active use of multiple broadband links for VoIP fault tolerance to ensure quality of service addresses real customer needs for both small and medium businesses and larger enterprises.

Aspen helps provide unparalleled reliability for hosted VoIP services by eliminating the WAN link as a single point of VoIP failure, said Dan Berger, president and CEO of Aspen. By allowing VoIP service providers to deploy a customer premise box that utilizes multiple active WAN links for VoIP traffic, the Aspen 365-VOIP delivers built-in fault-tolerance and quality of service, improving customer satisfaction and lowering support costs. With the completion of interoperability testing with BroadSofts BroadWorks VoIP application platform, weve teamed with the market leader to ensure that their partners can deliver the highest reliability WAN performance for their customers.
