Read Your Voicemail! CallWave Vtxt(SM) Now Available Nationwide

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- CallWave, Inc. (Nasdaq:CALL) today announced the availability of the CallWave Vtxt service, free to beta users at www.callwave.com. Starting today, subscribers can sign-up for Vtxt and receive the "gist" of mobile phone voicemail, delivered to their handsets in one text message - without changing their mobile phone, number, or wireless service provider.

"Text is the new voicemail," said Dave Hofstatter, CEO, CallWave, Inc. "We're using the power of text to transform the way mobile subscribers interact with their voice messages. They can now stay up-to-date on voicemails, simply by reading a Vtxt Gist - delivered to their handset right after a call is completed. Yes, it's that easy."

Vtxt is part of CallWave's modernized voicemail offering that delivers a complete handset-to-desktop solution. The experience begins on the handset when a call has been missed or avoided and a voicemail message is left. CallWave subscribers immediately get a Gist text of the voicemail, where they can read the summary of the message. The experience then extends to the desktop, where the full transcription and audio file of the voicemail arrives via email and the newly available Vtxt PhonePage. PhonePage, a personalized web portal, offers a permanent, searchable archive of voice and text messages and the ability to reply to callers by text or voice - right from the Web. PhonePage also automatically creates a contact book based on the calls received.

"This is truly modern voicemail. Mobile subscribers can now read, hear, respond, and organize their voicemail when, where and how they want," added Hofstatter. "Subscribers in our alpha trials found that a full transcription delivered to the handset was cumbersome, as they had to scroll through multiple text messages and read every 'um.' When given the Gist, they loved the summary aspect of Vtxt. It's easy to sign-up and offers immediate benefits, including the receipt of a more complete transcription via email and the Web. And since our proprietary technology does not rely on live operator assistance, messages remain completely private and secure."
