Paris, France - A loyal Quark supporter and QuarkXPress user for the
past 20 years, the Hersant Media Group has purchased 700 QuarkXPress 7
licenses, including 550 licenses to upgrade all Hebdoprint facilities.

Hebdoprint is a subsidiary of the Comareg Production Group, the leading
publisher of free advertising newspapers in France and a subsidiary of
the Hersant Media Group. The firm employs 700 people and manages,
produces, and prints 256 newspapers and weekly journals including
ParuVendu, which is distributed nationwide in France and French
overseas territories. It creates no less than 300,000 tabloid pages per
year and distributes approximately 17 million copies of its journals
every week.

Hebdoprint's choice of QuarkXPress 7 is a huge vote of confidence in
Quark, and the purchase of 700 licenses (including a hundred 100 for
the Hersant Media Group, paying press and French overseas territories)
guarantees the continuity of the use of QuarkXPress on the platform.

Thanks to QuarkXPress 7's optimised PDF generation, Hebdoprint no
longer needs to convert pages into PDF files with a third-party
application - a major factor for Hebdoprint since it generates no less
than 40,000 PDF documents per week! QuarkXPress 7 was also the first
software package of its class to offer seamless compatibility with
Intel-based Macs. It was these two factors that made all the difference.

Charley Lecat, Hebdoprint technical director, analysed all available
offers before deciding to pursue collaboration with Quark.
"Compatibility with the Mac Intels was a determining factor in our
decision. And Quark certainly scored with its quick release of a
version of QuarkXPress that could run under the Intel processors,"
stated Lecat. "Plus, we needed a reliable software package to process
our volume of work, a package that focused on production as well as
design and could be integrated seamlessly into our in-house editorial
workflows. We couldn't find anything better than QuarkXPress 7,
particularly when it came to getting reliable PDF output - a key
element in our production chain. Removing Acrobat has simplified
production and eliminated the cost of endless Adobe upgrades. Also,
quite apart from the technical problems any other solution would have
caused, we would have lost out on all the experience staff have with
QuarkXPress and would have had to provide costly retraining," Lecat
added.

"We are proud to consider Hebdoprint amongst our prestigious clients
and particularly with their renewed vote of confidence," said Gildas
Duval, commercial director, Quark Southern Europe. "Their choice of
QuarkXPress 7 as the best package for managing their publishing
requirements and production workflows demonstrates that QuarkXPress is
still the number one choice for page layout and design. And their
loyalty to Quark proves that the company has taken the right direction
in commercial policy and technological enhancements."
