FaxBack on Boardless Fax over IP

TMCnet Contributing Editor

More and more enterprises today are becoming a part of the convergence revolution and embracing VoIP technology. While most companies have already merged their voice and data networks, a lot of companies are also finding it makes perfect sense for them to leverage their IP infrastructure investment by integrating fax into their VoIP network as well.

Fax over IP (FoIP) is becoming the next big thing in communications technology; and leading IP gateways, like Cisco, 3Com and Alcatel (News - Alert) are all coming with built-in support for fax.

In a recent white paper titled, ‘Boardless Fax Servers in VoIP Environments,' FaxBack (News - Alert) outlines Boardless FoIP, the next-generation in faxing technology.

The white paper describes in detail the shift from fax machines to fax software and explains the hassles of installing, maintaining and supporting a fax server including how a FoIP solution eliminates them.

Further, the white paper explains the technicalities of two FoIP standards, T.38 real-time faxing and T.37 store and forward faxing, underscoring the advantages of real-time connection via T.38.

Aside from emphasizing that the greatest advantage of FoIP is that it does away with the fax board hardware, it also establishes the cost-effectiveness of a Boardless FoIP fax solution by demonstrating how for the cost of a fax board, an enterprise can pay for their entire VoIP rollout.

Most importantly, the white paper introduces FaxBack’s NET SatisFAXtion IP Boardless FoIP Solution and details its numerous benefits while also explaining the technical aspects of implementing the NET SatisFAXtion IP.
