[June 07, 2007] Apple adds Warner Music Japan catalogue to iTunes Tweet (Telecomworldwire Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) The catalogue of music label Warner Music Japan has been added to computer company Apple's online iTunes Store in Japan. Apple said the Warner Music Japan catalogue includes J-POP and international artists such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Madonna, Green Day, Linkin Park, Bonnie Pink, Ayaka, My Chemical Romance, R.E.M., Rip Slyme, Kobukuro and Mariya Takeuchi. Kobukuro, a J-POP duo, is making its music available for online download for the first time, while Ayaka's new video for the 'Jewelry Day' track is being debuted on the iTunes Store. Warner Music Japan plans to continue to add more of its catalogue to the store in the future. According to Apple the iTunes Store in Japan now features over 4m songs, 5,000 music videos, Disney and Pixar short films, 100,000 podcasts and 25,000 audiobooks, with more than 90% of songs priced at JPY150 per song. Music fans in Japan can access the iTunes Store with a free download from http://www.apple.com/jp/itunes, suitable for Mac and Windows operating systems, and can opt to use iTunes Cards for cash purchases on the iTunes Store.
