NXTcomm Eos Awards Honors Industry's Finest


ARLINGTON, Va. --(Business Wire)-- NXTcomm, the only venue where the business and technology of communications, information and entertainment meet, today announced the winners of the 2007 Eos Excellence of Achievement Awards. The inaugural Eos Awards honor those exhibiting companies that have developed the most promising new technologies or provided the best new network services and strategic support. NXTcomm will be held June 18-21 at McCormick Place in Chicago.



Eos Award winners were honored for best new technology or enterprise solution in twelve categories covering the entire range of wireless, broadband, and next-generation technologies and services for both public and enterprise networks. The winners and finalists will be recognized during a special reception on Wednesday, June 20.

"Our exhibitors truly raised the bar this year, resulting in fierce competition," said Wayne Crawford, NXTcomm Executive Director. In addition to traditional categories like backbone, core and edge technologies, Eos awards were also presented for achievement in home networking, IPTV, advanced mobile services and strategic support. A 13th award, called the Spotlight Award, will be selected by attending press and analysts and will be given to one of the 12 Eos Award winners.

NXTcomm exhibitors nominated themselves, their customers or their vendors for best new technology or enterprise solution in 12 categories covering the entire range of wireless, broadband, and next-generation technologies and services for both public and enterprise networks. Nominated service providers or enterprise organizations must have put their services into commercial operations during 2006. Vendors or suppliers nominated for new technologies must have announced their products no earlier than September 1, 2006, and have them available for sale no later than July 1, 2007.

NXTcomm will bring together top executives from every segment of the global industry to exhibit, explore new business opportunities and buy the latest technologies driving the converged communications and entertainment industry. Showcasing hundreds of new and innovative products, the NXTcomm exhibit floor will reflect the dramatic changes in the industry. The show will also feature a broad range of educational programming.
