Infrant acquired by NETGEAR

(Tele.com Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) NETGEAR Inc (Nasdaq: NTGR), a provider of networking products, has completed its acquisition of Infrant Technologies Inc, a provider of networked attached storage products that enable users to store and protect critical data.



Paul Tien, Infranet's former president and CEO, has been appointed as NETGEAR's new vice president and general manager of Networked Storage Products.

NETGEAR said that the acquisition of Infrant's ReadyNAS product family and product pipeline, together with NETGEAR's existing SC101 Storage Central products, allows the company to offer a full lineup of feature-rich, scalable and cost-effective storage solutions for small business, professional and home customers.



Financial terms were not disclosed.
