Booher Becomes Avaya's VP of Treasury and Investor Relations

Avaya (News - Alert) Inc. is a supplier of intelligent business communications solutions that aids companies globally to transform their businesses and achieve marketplace advantages. The company recently announced that it has appointed Matthew Booher as vice president, Treasury and Investor Relations. Booher is expected to add leadership to Avaya’s treasury organization and direct Avaya’s investor relations group in this position.



According to Caroline Dorsa, senior vice president and chief financial officer, Avaya, “With Matt Booher now heading the treasury and investor relations organizations, Avaya's shareholders will benefit from his expanded market- facing leadership.”
 
“He will drive a deeper understanding among key constituents of how Avaya’s business strategy benefits our customers and translates into expanded market opportunities,” he added.
 
Before Avaya, Booher served as the senior vice president, finance and division CFO for Broadwing (News - Alert), Inc. (2004). Additionally, he acted as the company’s vice president of investor relations during that time. During his lifetime, Booher held several strategic financial leadership positions with Spherion Corporation and MCI Communications.

Booher has an MBA in Finance from Michigan State University and a B.S. in Business Administration (Economics and Finance) from the Southern Illinois University.
