Securify, Inc. Lends Support to Microsoft Network Access Protection Program

TMCnet Contributing Editor

Securify, Inc., a provider of network use monitoring solutions, has joined the Microsoft (News - Alert) Network Access Protection (NAP) program. Publicly available with Windows Vista and Beta 2 of the future version of Windows Server, Microsoft’s NAP technology, also called ‘Loghorn’, ensures compliance with network health policies. In this way it helps customers guard network assets against unhealthy computers. Securify will complement this program with its identity-aware solutions that automatically monitor and verify network access and user behavior.

"Enforcing access control, addressing security compliance requirements, and verifying what's happening inside the network are critical components for maintaining agile and secure business practices," said Mike Schutz, group product manager, security and access, Microsoft Corp. in a statement. "We are pleased that Securify has joined the Network Access Protection program, which leverages Microsoft Active Directory to provide enhanced network monitoring solutions."

With a 2.5 million rich user base worldwide, Securify's solution integrates with Microsoft Active Directory to discover and verify user’s access and activity on the Internet. The 'Discovery mode' allows IT personnel to see 'who is doing what and where' and the 'Verification mode' verifies user activity against role-based controls and pre-built security best practices.

"While access protection is a critical requirement, most enterprises also desire to know who is doing what and where on their networks, post admission," said Steve Woo, vice president, products and marketing, Securify, Inc. "We look forward to being part of Microsoft's ecosystem to ensure that users are doing only what they should, when they should and with the applications they should be accessing."
