Fujitsu Announces GlobalSTORE POS Software for North American Grocers


FRISCO, Texas --(Business Wire)-- Fujitsu Transaction Solutions Inc. today announced its plans to develop the next release of its GlobalSTORE point-of-sale (POS) software, which will include advanced features for North American grocers that are not available in the market today. Stop & Shop/Giant-Landover has signed an agreement to collaborate with Fujitsu on the development of, and is scheduled to be the first to deploy, the new software release.

Fujitsu's GlobalSTORE application is a full-featured, customizable POS and cash management solution. While GlobalSTORE has been very successful for grocers in Europe and Japan for many years, the new version will offer extended capabilities required by North American grocers. -- Advanced User Interfaces - Fully touch-enabled interactive screens for cashiers and innovative customer information displays that increase checkout speed and up-sell opportunities.
