Four Companies Win Best of Show Awards at CompTIA System Builder Conference

OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill. --(Business Wire)-- Four companies at the forefront of the information technology (IT) industry have been recognized by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) for their creativity, innovation and leadership in hardware and software product development and channel strategies.

CompTIA announced today that Hitachi Global Storage Technologies, Intel, Objectworld Communications, and Tech Data received Best of Show awards at the recent CompTIA System Builder conference in Vancouver, British Columbia. Award winners were chosen by the votes of VIP technology resellers and solution providers attending the conference.

"The fact that these companies were singled out by their reseller and solution provider partners for special recognition is testament to the quality of the products, services and solutions they are delivering to their customers," said John Venator, president and chief executive officer, CompTIA.

Hitachi Global Storage Technologies, a storage technology leader, was singled out for Best Presentation.

Intel, the world leader in silicon innovation and developer of technologies, products and initiatives to continually advance how people work and live, won three awards: overall Best of Show, Best Hardware Product and Best Channel Strategy.

Objectworld Communications, the leading provider of unified communications software for Microsoft(R) Windows(R) platforms, won awards for Best Software Product and Best Solutions Sales Strategy.

Tech Data Corporation, a leading distributor of IT products with more than 90,000 customers in over 100 countries, was recognized for Best Distribution and Support.

Now in its eighth year, the CompTIA System Builder Conference is focused on Canada's "white box" manufacturers, offering vendors and buyers the opportunity to network as they discuss new products, programs, marketing strategies, and technologies.
