GVT provides telecommunications, high speed broadband, Internet, multimedia and solutions development services and has one of the fastest growth rates in the Brazilian market. By using Global Crossing's global MPLS-based fiber-optic network, GVT is better positioned to address burgeoning demand for advanced IP services. GVT's priority is to offer its customers a superior Internet experience and high quality in advanced IP services, such as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), IPTV and streaming. "We look for the best solutions from the best providers so that our customers can have a better experience when using GVT," said Renato Paschoareli, network engineering and planning director at GVT. Global Crossing was the first-and remains the only-global communications provider with IPv6 natively installed on all IP services access routers, and as a result, it is uniquely qualified to enable a transition to IPv6. "With GVT added to our customer roster, Global Crossing now provides services to many of the most important carriers in Latin America," said Dale Miller, Global Crossing's senior vice president for carrier sales in Latin America.
