Keynote Presentations Announced for Billboard's Mobile Entertainment Live! (Formerly MECCA)


NEW YORK --(Business Wire)-- Billboard, the world's most trusted source of music, video and digital entertainment news, charts, reviews and analysis, today announced the keynote speakers scheduled to appear at its Mobile Entertainment Live! conference (formerly MECCA). Presented by Mozes, in association with QuickPlay Media, and part of CTIA Wireless 2007, this one-day event is being held on Monday, March 26 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. Mobile Entertainment Live! attendees will also receive a complementary exhibit only pass to CTIA Wireless 2007, taking place on March 27-29



Featuring representatives from all key segments of the mobile content value chain, Billboard's Mobile Entertainment Live! Keynote Series will give attendees a comprehensive, 360-degree perspective of both the current and future wireless entertainment landscape--including content providers, wireless operators, handset manufacturers, and entertainment industry leaders.

Keynote speakers include Kevin Lyman, Founder of the Warped Tour and Taste of Chaos Mobile; John Harrobin, VP, Marketing & Digital Media for Verizon Wireless; Nigel Rundstrom, VP, Multimedia for Nokia; and Greg Clayman, SVP of Mobile Media for MTV Networks.


Music industry leader and "Fireside Chat" keynote speaker Kevin Lyman, comes from an extensive background that includes work with internationally known bands such as Jane's Addiction, Stone Temple Pilots, and Nine Inch Nails. He started and owns 4fini inc, the international festival Vans Warped Tour, Watcha Tour, and has partnerships on nationwide touring festivals. In addition to production, Lyman is part owner of Side One Dummy Record Company, which has an impressive roster including Irish band Flogging Molly, punk icons Suicidal Tendencies, and swing favorites Royal Crown Review. He also recently launched Taste of Chaos Mobile as a direct-to-consumer mobile entertainment applications.

Verizon Wireless' John Harrobin will discuss the current state of the wireless industry, and will reveal his strategy for approaching mobile entertainment in 2007. Since joining Verizon in 1997, Harrobin has propelled the wireless carrier to new heights. He is directly responsible for content acquisition & programming for Verizon's V CAST, Mobile Web, and Get It Now(R) services.

Nigel Rundstrom will outline Nokia's many mobile entertainment plans for the year ahead, including its many music, gaming and video initiatives. Rundstrom runs the Connect New team, within the Multimedia Business Group, which spearheads Nokia's home connectivity, consumer email, IM, VoIP, as well as Internet partnerships.

Greg Clayman leads all of MTV Networks' mobile programming and marketing efforts. Under his watch, MTV Networks has forged successful partnerships with every major domestic wireless provider and MVNO, publishing more than 600 clips and 30 hours of video per month in the United States alone. In addition, Clayman's team develops a wide portfolio of mobile content and applications for MTV Networks' diverse brands, including CMT, COMEDY CENTRAL, Logo, MTV, Nickelodeon, The N, Spike and VH1.
