Redstor�s new partnership with Zycko, the sole distributor for Storewiz in the UK and Ireland, marks the first in a wave of reseller appointments for the coming months designed to help Zycko cope with an ever-increasing volume of visible Storewiz sales opportunities.

Using Storewiz�s compression ratio facility, available storage space can be more than doubled depending on the data�s nature and, according to Storewiz figures, its products are able to achieve impressive compression ratios across a wide range of complex vertical markets. For example, up to 70 per cent compression in oil and gas, 80 per cent in finance and 80 per cent in the telecoms sector.

�We feel quietly optimistic about this technology- the amount of conversations we have with NAS users over both the cost of provisioning NAS as well as the poor utilisation levels means that is something that any serious NAS user has to look at. It is one of those technologies that we have a duty to our client base to show them,� added Ruane.

A link aggregation facility also enables for the grouping of multiple Ethernet

network interfaces into one logical high bandwidth, while the appliance integrates seamlessly into highly-available networked storage infrastructures and maintains its high-availability features.
