Honda planning to increase car sales in Ukraine 61% in 2007(Interfax News Agency Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) KYIV. Feb 28 (Interfax) - Honda Ukraine is planning to sell at least 5,000 Honda automobiles in Ukraine in 2007, or 60.6% more than in 2005, the company told Interfax. Honda Ukraine is expecting to achieve the increase in sales using promotion, advertising, presentations and test-drives, a company representative said. In addition, the company will introduce new models to the market, in particular the Honda Civic Type R, the restyled Honda CR-V and the Honda Accord Special Edition. The company plans to sell more than 1,000 Honda-CV models in 2007 after launching sales of this model in February 2007. One Honda-CV costs $38,500-$45,000. Honda says it has a 2% share of the foreign car market in Ukraine, although the company expects this figure to grow. Honda Ukraine, a subsidiary structure of Honda Motor, was set up in summer 2006 to increase Honda sales on the Ukrainian market.
