Steelbox Networks Expands Executive Management Team
Industry Veterans Brought in to Manage Worldwide Growth of Fast Paced Network Video and Storage Company
ATLANTA February 19, 2007 Steelbox NetworksTM, Inc., makers of network video distribution and storage devices, today announced the appointment of three veteran business executives to the management team: Ken Barwick, Chief Operating Officer; Graham Wood, Chief Financial Officer; and David Gerulski, Vice President, Marketing.
With Ken, Graham and David on our management team, Steelbox has gained more than 80 collective years of industry experience to lead the rapid growth we are experiencing in the video management and storage market, said Richard Chip Howes, Steelbox Founder and CEO. Video data is causing havoc on enterprise and government networks. Steelboxs switching and storage devices are making this phenomenon manageable.
Ken Barwick brings nearly 30 years operational leadership to SteelBox along with 10 years service as a military officer and aviator. He has held key positions in the high tech industry including sales management, field operations, COO and CEO responsibilities for Oracle (News - Alert), Dun and Bradstreet Software, SysGen and FirstWave Technologies.
Graham Wood brings 30 years of financial and administrative executive experience in the high tech industry. Wood has served as senior vice president, chief financial officer and director of finance with companies including AppForge, GuardedNet, RedCelsius and Dun & Bradstreet Software. Additionally, he has raised tens of millions in funding for AppForge and GuardedNet.
David Gerulski brings 20 years in marketing, building successful brands for Internet Security Systems (News - Alert), VistaScape Security Systems and others. Gerulski has been featured as a security expert in national media and holds a world record in motorcycling.
In July 2006, Steelbox received $10M in funding from Sierra Ventures, a 25-year old venture capital firm based out of Menlo Park, CA with $1 .5B under management across nine partnerships.
