Aliant Fraud Protection service ensures Atlantic Canadians enjoy a secure online experience

� Internet subscribers across Atlantic Canada can now enjoy a more secure online experience as the result of a new security service recently launched by Aliant, Atlantic Canada�s leading information and communications technology provider.

In collaboration with Radialpoint, the leading provider of managed Internet services to broadband providers, Aliant�s Fraud Protection service ensures customers are protected against phishing. Typically, phishing attacks start with a fraudulent message that requests urgent verification of personal or financial data, and often contains grammatical and spelling errors. They can be blocked, in real-time, ensuring unsuspecting customers don�t access known fraudulent sites as they emerge, and informs them that they are potentially at risk of revealing their valuable information to criminals.
