New Independent Record Label, Vine Street Records LLC, Embraces the Web and Markets Artists Through Technology
MILLIS, Mass. --(Business Wire)-- Today Interactive Media Corporation announces the launch of a new division, named Vine Street Records, LLC. Vine Street Records is an independent record label that will be home to undiscovered or known artists and producers who seek a new and innovative method of promotion through its technology division, Kanguru Solutions. This may include artists with musical borders from jazz, contemporary, dance, electronica, trance and more.
Under Interactive Media Corporation, Vine Street Records will be able to use and take advantage of a unique and inventive method of promotion and distribution for the Label and its Artists. Partnering with Kanguru Solutions (www.kanguru.com), a high technology division of Interactive Media Corporation, Vine Street Records will focus on an already established and successful distribution channel and an eager market of technology enthusiasts that grows every day.
Kanguru Solutions will be sending out thousands of "sampler" CD's to its customers along with their purchases of a wide range of technology products every month to introduce new and existing releases from the record label. Similar to Starbucks(R) and other retailers showcasing music in new ways with fantastic success, Kanguru Solutions will provide free and convenient music samplers to its many thousands of diverse customers. Over a short time, tens of thousands or sampler CD's will be out in the marketplace creating a pull for the online and retail sales channels of music. Kanguru Solutions will also put music samples from Vine Street on the many thousands of MP3 Players it currently sells.
This unique business relationship will provide an innovative and creative outlet for the Label's first artist, DB. DB is releasing his first album through Vine Street Records called Cherry Mint, as a full 5.1 Surround DVD and a stereo CD. Cherry Mint is a spacious musical work where pristine digital Electronica/Freestyle production meets laid back rock, jazz, dub, and dance; all produced and engineered in 5.1 Surround for DVD-A, DTS, and Dolby Digital, as well as stereo for the CD release. Cherry Mint ships as a two disk set with the CD and DVD-A in a single jewel case or as a single CD.
