Universal Remote Control Launches Gamer, FX1 Remotes

(TWICE Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) LAS VEGAS Universal Remote Control is showing two new remote controls at

booth 21244 in the South Hall.

The UR7-G2 Universal Gamer allows users to play video games or enjoy A/V
entertainment like music or movies as they choose. It features dedicated
game-system buttons for systems like the Microsoft Xbox 360 and Media Center PC
systems and for Sony's PlayStation and customizable features that are intended
to allow users to better integrate their game consoles into their home
entertainment systems.

The company says it can control six additional components and comes with
preprogrammed codes to guarantee that the product will work with all A/V
components, including iPods and iPod docks. It can also learn up to 160 new
commands.

The UR7-G2 features MacroPower, which can turn several A/V components on
or off and the same time, and uses special command keys to switch sources and
inputs with the press of a single button. It also has SimpleSound technology,
which is said to provide users with "one-touch" control over the volume
functions on all their components, including devices that don't have built-in
volume controls.

It has 64KB of non-volatile flash memory, an infrared range of 30 feet
to 50 feet, the ability to dedicate nine MacroPower buttons for up to 20
commands per button, an ergonomic design with one-hand operation, 51
strategically located soft-touch control buttons and backlighting for viewing
in a dark environment.

The product is available now for a suggested retail price of $49.95.

Universal Remote Control is also introducing its Total Control FX1. The
remote can control up to five A/V components. It is described as being easy to
set up and comes preprogrammed with a database of thousands of codes to ensure
compatibility with a wide variety of components. This product also features
MacroPower and SimpleSound technology.

Other product features include 44 strategically located soft-touch
control buttons, device buttons that light up for viewing in dark environments
and an ergonomic design with one-hand operation.

The product is available now for a suggested retail price of $19.95.
