Belarus plans to attract $1 bln through Kyoto protocol mechanisms(Interfax News Agency Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)MINSK. Jan 10 (Interfax-West) - The Belarussian Cabinet hopes to attract $1 billion in investments by 2012 through using economic mechanisms of the Kyoto protocol, Interfax was told at the Cabinet on Monday. The Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection was placed in charge of coordinating efforts to attract the said sum.
