Manugistics Appoints Susumu Masuda As President and Representative Director of Manugistics Japan

TOYKO --(Business Wire)-- Jan. 10, 2006 -- Manugistics Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:MANU), a leading provider of synchronized supply chain and revenue management solutions today, announced that Susumu Masuda has been named President and Representative Director of Manugistics Japan K.K., effective January 1, 2006. Masuda will report to Manugistics President of Asia Pacific Operations Mark R. Weaser.



Masuda brings 35 years of IT and supply chain management (SCM) experience in such industries as manufacturing, retail, consumer goods and distribution. With the addition of Masuda to Manugistics Japan, the organization will continue supporting customers throughout Japan delivering solutions and services from sales, implementation, training and support to ensure client success. Manugistics Japan will also support SCM projects of Japanese companies operating in the Asia Pacific Region including China.

Prior to joining Manugistics, Masuda was President for e-Manufacturing Co., Ltd., a leading Japanese solutions provider for the manufacturing industry. Before joining e-Manufacturing, Masuda held executive management positions which include Sales Director at Cap Gemini Ernst and Young Japan, and Vice President of Sales at Broadvision Japan. Earlier in his career, Masuda served in various senior management positions at IBM Japan, where he led sales operations and SCM related business for manufacturing, retail and distribution industries for 30 years. In the late 1990s, he was also involved with Manugistics as an alliance partner. Masuda received a bachelor's of science degree from Kyushu University.
