LexisNexis and American Bar Association Section of Taxation Renew Sponsorship Agreement

DAYTON, Ohio --(Business Wire)-- Jan. 10, 2006 -- LexisNexis U.S. today announced the continuation of its relationship with the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Taxation in providing tax professionals with access to critical and timely information, as well as solutions that streamline processes and improve work efficiencies. Under the sponsorship arrangement, which is going into the seventh year, LexisNexis will serve as a primary corporate sponsor of the ABA Section of Taxation until July 2008.

More than ever, tax professionals need to be informed of new, substantive administrative and procedural developments in tax law, as well as changes to the tax code. In response, the ABA Section of Taxation and LexisNexis will collaborate to continue providing Comm-Online, an online resource offering immediate access to cutting-edge program materials developed by the nation's leading tax practitioners for Section members. These materials are available through both the Section website, abanet.org/tax, and the LexisNexis services at lexis.com(R). In addition to Comm-Online, the Tax Section and LexisNexis will jointly develop programs that provide special benefits to Section members.

"We are pleased that the Tax Section's relationship with LexisNexis continues to grow and develop," said Dennis B. Drapkin, Chair of the American Bar Association's Section of Taxation. "The products that we provide our members are a terrific combination of the resources that both organizations offer. They add significant value to the larger body of legal tax resources available to practitioners and others interested in tax issues."

According to Charles Ter Bush, vice president of the Tax and Accounting market, LexisNexis, "The Section represents the collected knowledge of the legal profession in matters of sound tax practice and policy. Working closely with the Section and our Advisory Board is an effective way to support the Section's efforts to build this knowledge base by facilitating discussion and communication among its members. The partnership also greatly assists LexisNexis in building products and services that meet the needs of tax professionals."
