Writer and actor Peter Hawes,who lives at the beach, said news of the find at the weekend spread quickly and it was already becoming an icon, the Manawatu Standard reported today. The origin of the Walter Collinson upright is a mystery, but Mr Hawes says a piano of the same make was recently offered for sale on the Internet trading site TradeMe by a Palmerston North resident.
