Lower house head Zaoralek plans to visit China, Vietnam

(Czech News Agency Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)PRAGUE, Jan 6 (CTK) - Czech lower house chairman Lubomir Zaoralek (Social Democrats, CSSD) is to visit China on February 21-25 and then stay in Vietnam for several days, he told CTK today.

"Hong Kong will be a priority and definitely also Beijing, Shanghai and other cities," Zaoralek said.

Zaoralek was invited to China by Chinese deputies and Prime Minister Wen Jiabao who visited Prague in early December.

He told CTK he wants mainly to discuss trade opportunities in China. He said that going to Tibet is not a priority of his visit, adding that China has not offered him this.

His last year's Asian tour included South and North Koreas and Mongolia. In North Korea, he first of all discussed the nuclear programme.

Zaoralek said he would like also to visit Russia by the Czech general election held in June, probably in late March or early April.

"It seems that we will be able to pay back the last debt that I have felt, and this is the visit of the Russian Duma," he said.
