MANUFACTURING: NOKIA, SIEMENS JOINT VENTURE (to set up a second manufacturing facility in Kolkata to manufacture switches)

(India Business Insight Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) Nokia and Siemens Networks are forming a 50:50 joint venture to set up a second facility in Kolkata to manufacture switches. The joint venture is likely to manufacture handsets at a later date. Siemens Public Communication Networks, the telecom arm of Siemens, is also likely to be merged with this new entity.
