OPALIS EXTENDS INTEGRATION TO MICROSOFT SYSTEM CENTER OPERATIONS MANAGER 2007

New Integration Extends Opalis Existing Product Support for Microsoft (News - Alert)s Management Platform, Allows IT Departments to Automate Best Practices and Improve IT Efficiency

Barcelona, Spain Microsoft IT Forum 2006 November 13, 2006 Opalis Software, Inc., the leading provider of Run Book Automation (RBA) software that orchestrates, integrates, and automates IT operational processes, today announced its support for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 (SCOM 2007) and development of Opalis Integration Pack for SCOM 2007.

The new integration extends Opalis existing product support for SMS, MOM, Virtual Server, and Active Directory and allows for IT Operations to integrate Microsoft products with management tools from BMC, CA, EMC, HP, IBM (News - Alert), and VMware, to automate best practices and improve IT efficiency. The SCOM 2007 integration pack provides IT professionals with the ability to automate incident and problem diagnostic and remediation processes and direct critical alerts to the service desk. The new integration pack will ship during the first quarter of 2007.

Opalis RBA software incorporates the people, process, and technology required to orchestrate, integrate, and automate IT best practices, improving service delivery and service levels, while reducing operational costs. This is achieved through extensive out-of-the-box process templates, integration for leading management vendors, and its script/code-free workflow.

Opalis houses the broadest range of integrations available in the RBA space today and enables IT professionals to connect and interact with a variety of heterogeneous management tools that exist in todays data centers, said Todd DeLaughter, CEO and President for Opalis Software. Were pleased to extend our integrations to support the Microsoft SCOM 2007 platform and provide IT professionals with a powerful new tool that allows enterprises to take proactive action against degradations in the health of an IT service on an on-going basis, thus contributing to greater IT efficiency.
