Addmaster Releases MJ2000 Thermal Receipt Printer

MONROVIA, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Addmaster, a manufacturer of teller receipt and validation printers for some of the nation's most prominent financial institutions, announced today the introduction of the ultra-compact MJ2000, the first thermal-inkjet hybrid printer designed for banks.

The MJ2000 can print a typical bank receipt and validate a bank form in one second each. The printer also offers MICR and mag-stripe reading options. Designed specifically for the teller line, the MJ2000 saves valuable time and counter space and increases the efficiency of frontline staff.

"The MJ2000 enables tellers to process customer transactions more quickly than ever before, printing receipt and validation in no more than two seconds," said Hugh Clary, vice president of Addmaster. "The cumulative effect of this time savings provides a substantial impact on transaction time as well as overall customer satisfaction. It does all of this while occupying a 34" square inch footprint that makes it the smallest receipt and validation printer on the market."

Addmaster currently has more than 250,000 printers installed in U.S. banks today. Additionally, the company recently announced the release of the MJ4000, a Check 21-compliant check scanner constructed to provide quick, efficient scanning while occupying a smaller footprint. The MJ4000 boasts ink jet endorsement, USB interface and is compatible with Silver Bullet's Ranger API.

Addmaster will offer demonstrations of the MJ2000 and MJ4000 at the Bank Administration Institute (BAI) Retail Delivery Conference & Expo, Nov. 14-16, 2006 at booth number 1345.
