Arvato signs AT&T to optimize call center technology

(BNamericas.com Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) US telco AT&T (NYSE: T) and CRM services provider Arvato Services have signed an agreement to optimize Arvato's call centers in Argentina and Canada, AT&T said in a statement.

Under the terms of the agreement, AT&T will provide an IP virtual private network (VPN) enabling Arvato to optimize global telemarketing services provided from these two countries.

The solution will also provide Arvato, a subsidiary of German media conglomerate Bertelsmann, with shorter deployment times as well as lower installation costs.

"Arvato is bringing together the growing demand for telemarketing services in Spanish and in English from its customers around the world," Arvato's global director for IT Andreas Jung said.

Arvato Services offers database management, printing, production, distribution and e-commerce transactions through subsidiary CRM global solutions.

This year, the Argentine subsidiary of Arvato Services plans to add 150 new jobs to its contact center, which currently has 350 employees, BNamericas previously reported.
