The site, www.umatoday.com, is dedicated to providing news, information and discussion on UMA-based services, products and events. UMA technology is the 3GPP global standard for fixed-mobile convergence. It provides access to mobile voice, data and IMS services over IP networks. The most well-known application of UMA technology is the dual-mode cellular/Wi-Fi handset, which allows users to roam automatically between cellular networks and public and private WLANs.
