ROSOBORONEXPORT WILL CLOSE DEAL TO BUY VSMPO-AVISMA IN ONE WEEK(Interfax News Agency Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) MOSCOW. Sept 7 (Interfax) - State-owned arms exporter Rosoboronexport will close a deal to buy a controlling stake in VSMPO- Avisma Corporation, the world's biggest milled titanium producer, within one week, Vyacheslav Bresht, one of the corporation's co-owners and chairman of the board, told Interfax. Rosoboronexport head Sergei Chemezov said in July that his company would soon acquire a blocking stake in VSMPO-Avisma, adding that talks were virtually completed. The arms trader is considering the formation of a metallurgical holding based on key special metallurgy enterprises.
