Network Liquidators Expands Leadership Team


TAMPA, Fla. --(Business Wire)-- Aug. 28, 2006 -- Growing acceptance - and adoption - of used networking equipment as a fiscally responsible alternative to new technology installations drove sales of Network Liquidators to record heights during the past four years. In response to this rapid growth and new market opportunities, the company recently added three key executive positions to its roster. Matt McDonald joins as chief financial officer; Joe Serra as executive vice president; and Thomas J. Calcaterra as executive vice president, business development. Barry Shevlin, Network Liquidators' founder and chief executive officer, rounds out the executive team.



Matt McDonald, Chief Financial Officer

Matt McDonald brings nearly two decades of financial management leadership to his position as chief financial officer of Network Liquidators. McDonald is responsible for improving the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the company's financial, accounting, treasury and process management practices.


Before joining the company, McDonald was vice president, corporate controller for Quality, North America's largest chemical transportation company. McDonald has also held senior financial management positions at Catalina Marketing Corporation, the global leader in behavior-based marketing across multiple industries, and Industrial Distribution Group, a supplier of maintenance, repair, operating, and production (MROP) products and services to manufacturers and other industrial users. Additionally, he has led two private companies as chief financial officer during periods of rapid growth. He began his career with KPMG Peat Marwick, a Big 4 international accounting firm.

A graduate of Lycoming College, Williamsport, Pennsylvania, McDonald holds a bachelor's degree in accounting.

Joe Serra, Executive Vice President

As executive vice president for the company, Joe Serra serves as the chief architect behind many of Network Liquidator's strategic initiatives, which include market- and product-segment expansion, revenue generation, and account engagement with top customers and governmental agencies. He brings nearly 20 years of technology-industry experience to his position.

Prior to joining the company, he was vice president of Networking and High-End Storage Product Marketing for Tech Data Corporation, a leading distributor of IT products with more than 90,000 customers in over 100 countries. Serra's background also includes leadership positions within the insurance and food and beverage industries.

Serra is a Certified Netware Technical Engineer/Instructor (CNE/CNI), a Certified Facilitator of Zenger/Miller "Basic Principles of Leadership" and has completed several American Management Association (AMA) courses.

Thomas J. Calcaterra, Executive Vice President, Business Development

Tom Calcaterra oversees the company's mergers and acquisitions activities, capital transactions and geographic expansion beyond North America. He brings more than 15 years of international executive-management experience to the position, having served in such previous leadership capacities as corporate officer and director.

Before joining Network Liquidators, Calcaterra served as chief financial officer for PODS Inc. and Romac International Inc. Calcaterra's primary international experience came with Norsk Hydro ASA, where he was vice president, administration for the company's North American operations.

A certified public accountant, Calcaterra's early career experiences include overseas assignments at Touch Ross and Co, and later at Arthur Andersen & Co. Calcaterra earned a bachelor's degree from Wayne State University and attended the Stanford University Graduate School of Business completing its management program in 1996.
