[July 04, 2006] Sony wants to make new Big Pun CD Tweet (UPI Entertainment News Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) Sony wants to make a new album using unreleased tracks by the late U.S. rapper Big Punisher, but is hitting snags with the producer who owns the tracks. Producer John Jellybean Benitez is allegedly holding up the potential project because he didn't think of the idea himself, the New York Daily News reported Tuesday. Sony owns Big Pun as an artist, but Jellybean owns the publishing rights to many of the songs, an industry insider told the newspaper. Sony wants to do another album, but (Benitez) hasn't returned calls. He's playing the game.
