QM2 sets course for all-gay cruise


(Evening Standard Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) THE Queen Mary 2, the world's largest ocean liner, is chartering a cruise for gays and lesbians only.

The 2,620-capacity liner will depart New York next year for a six-day cruise to Southampton.

A spokesman said it was "a onceina-lifetime trip that takes the best the straight world has to offer and makes it even better".

eBay favourite to recycle gifts

MORE than half of Londoners "recycle" unwanted gifts by selling them online or re-wrapping them and giving them to friends and family. According to a survey, almost 20 per cent of people sell their presents using online auction sites such as eBay, while 33 per cent secretly rewrap gifts and then pass them on.



Russian coup for Tate Modern

TWENTY-FIVE paintings by Wassily Kandinsky which have never been seen in Britain take pride of place at a new exhibition at Tate Modern. The 21 oils and four works on paper were flown in from Russia for the first UK display dedicated to the artist. Kandinsky: The Path to Abstraction runs from next Thursday until 1 October.

AMERICAN satirist Weird Al Yankovic, 47, is to have a pop at James Blunt. He will record a parody of the hit You're Beautiful, retitled You're Pitiful.

Weird Al shot to fame in 1984 with Eat It.

The video was a frame-for-frame match of Michael Jackson's Beat It, only his gang members were fighting over a rubber chicken.
